From Toronto, Ontario, Mark works full time as Co-owner and Co-director of Camp Manitou, a co-ed residential overnight camp located northeast of Parry Sound Ontario. Mark is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and after a brief legal career became a contractor and real estate developer for many years. With the introduction of the new digital world he was CEO of Canada’s first company creating web sites for the like of FedEx and TD Bank. However, his lifelong dream of owning and running a summer camp came to fruition in the summer of 1999 when he joined with his best friend Jeff Wilson in purchasing Camp Manitou (formally Manitouwabing). Mark grew up at Camp White Pine spending 16 years as a camper and staff and has sat on the board of the Ontario Camps Association for almost 15 years. One of Mark’s goals has been to spend a lot of his time contributing to charitable causes outside of his work (including Heart to Heart, Save a child’s Heart, Veahavta, Sick Kids etc). He has spearheaded with Jeff Wilson making the focal point of Camp Manitou around giving back, gratitude and value based programming through its ManitouCares Programming that operates not only during the summer camp, but all year long. This will be his 23rd summer at Manitou.
