Tennis has always been the "backbone" of the Manitou sports program. The tennis program was developed over 20 years ago by Peter Burwash, who is renowned for setting the standard at leading tennis schools and camp the world over. Our facility includes 12 courts, bleachers, and a dedicated tennis clubhouse. Staff are hired for their skill, character and ability to communicate, motivate, and inspire. With one pro per court, campers get high calibre instruction.

From the beginner to the advanced, campers are placed with others of similar ability and interest. Campers also have the chance to participate in many fun and exciting challenges including competitions with neighbouring camps, local tournaments, or tennis 'ladders'. The Manitou Tennis Academy (M.T.A.), held after dinner, strives to develop tournament players or build the child's skill level on a more intense basis. Lectures, demos, drills coaching, and of course loads of court time from our top professionals ensures your child will progress their game to the next level.
