JUNIOR COUNSELLORS

	Rebecca Alter Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Rebecca is a student at Northern Secondary School. During the year, Rebecca serves as a class representative, is junior editor of the school newspaper and is co-president of the Film Club. She is also involved in charitable initiatives including work with the United Way and the Canadian Cancer Society. She is also an avid artist and guitar player. A Manitou camper for six years, Rebecca completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Mara Badali Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Mara is a student at the Bishop Strachan School. Active in her community throughout the year, Mara is a recipient of the Duke of Edingurgh Silver Asard and volunteer with Out of the Cold and at the St. Felix Centre for children. She also plays competitive soccer and field hockey, is an avid skier and holds her Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper for eight years, Mara completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Eric Barsky Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Eric is a student at the community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Eric is a competitive hockey and soccer player. He has also volunteered at Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda for the past four years as a childcare worker. A Manitou camper for six years, Eric completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be his second summer on staff.
	Eli Berg Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Eli is a student at Crestwood Preparatory College. Eli has volunteered during the year with the Canadian Hearing Society and served as convenor for Hillcrest Sports Club. He plays competitive hockey, baseball and volleyball and is also an avid tennis player. A Manitou camper for three years, Eli completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Meg Binder Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Meg is a student at Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Meg serves on her school’s student council and volunteered with organizations including Ve’ahavta, Jewish Teens for Youth, Out of the Cold and with the Beth Sholom Daycare. She is completing her NLS and WSI certifications. A Manitou camper for 10 years, Meg was awarded the Lokash Award in 2008 and completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Kieran Bracken Jr. Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Kieran is a graduate of Langstaff Secondary School. During the year Kieran is a competitive swimmer with both his school and regional swim team. He has also worked as an assistant Swim Instructor at Frank’s Swim School holding his NLS and WSI certifications. A Manitou camper for five years, Kieran completed our CIT program in 2009, also receiving the Lokash Award that season. This will be his second summer on staff.
	Orly Brooker Jr. Counsellor	From Atlanta, Georgia, Orly is a graduate of the Westminster Schools. During the year she competes on her school’s Soccer and Cross Country teams and does volunteer work with her synagogue. A Manitou camper for five years, Orly completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be her second summer on staff.
	Matt Cole Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Matt is a graduate of Greenwood College School. During the year, Matt is an avid snowboarder, guitar player and BMX biker. He worked as an assistant at the Toronto Bike Show in 2009 and has volunteered as a reading buddy at Dundas Public School. A Manitou camper for eight years, Matt completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be his second summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Jenna Dick Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jenna is a student at Earl Haig Secondary majoring in Film Studies. During the year, Jenna races with her school’s Snowboarding team. She has been dancing for 11 years, plays drums and holds her kickboxing certification and Bronze Medallion. She also has been involved with various fundraisers for Diabetes research. A Manitou camper for three years, Jenna completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her firsts summer on staff.
	Brian Ebata Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Brian is a graduate of Ursula Franklin Academy. During the year, Brian is involved with his school’s Environmental Alliance club and Guatemala Project and has been studying at the Toronto Japanese Language School for 10 years. He has past experience volunteering with Sunnyside Garden Daycare and also plays piano. A Manitou camper for four years, Brian completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be his second summer on staff.
	Lauren Eisen Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Lauren is a student in the Claude Watson Arts Program at Earl Haig. Lauren serves as an executive member of her school’s Arts Council and is Vice President of the school’s CANFAR club. She has volunteered abroad at GO Campaign orphanages and holds her Bronze Medallion and PADI diving certifications. A Manitou camper for eight years, Lauren completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Sasha Engel Hercz Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Sasha is a graduate of Upper Canada College. During the year, he plays on his school’s varsity Football, Basketball and Rugby teams. He is also a regular tennis player at Greenwin Tennis Club. He has past experience as a Soccer Camp Counsellor with UCC Summer Camps and as a tutor with Horizons Tutoring. A Manitou camper for three years, Sasha completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be his second summer on staff.
	Julie Foster Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Julie is a student in the Claude Watson program at Earl Haig majoring in Drama. During the year, Julie has volunteered with programs including CANFAR and Empty Bowls. She has also served as Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager for several festivals and shows. A Manitou camper for nine years, Julie was awarded the Lokash Award in 2007 and completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Jennifer Gershman Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jen is a student at Lawrence Park Collegiate. During the year, Jen works as a swim instructor at Zodiac Swim School holding her NLS and WSI certifications. She has also been involved as a student teacher at Temple Sinai. A Manitou camper for seven years, Jen completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Lewis Glatt Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Lewis is a student at Crescent School. During the year, Lewis plays on his school’s Golf and Basketball teams and competes in the North Toronto Basketball League and in a flag football league. He has also volunteered as a tutor at Firgrove Public School. A Manitou camper for six years, Lewis completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Jamie Gorlick Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jamie is a graduate of the Tanebaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year he works as a part time referee and also plays with Avenue Road Hockey. He also volunteers with Beth Shalom Synagogue. Jamie holds his Bronze Medallion and PADI diving certification. He was a Manitou camper for nine years completing our CIT program in 2009. This will be Jamie’s second summer on staff and 11th at Manitou.
	Allie Gottlieb Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Allie is a student at the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Allie directs her school show, works as a peer coach and helps the tech team on her school’s theatrical productions. Allie has also served as a Madricha, working as a counsellor on a school retreat. She is an avid snowboarder and guitar player. A Manitou camper for nine years, Allie completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Jonah Gould Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jonah is a student at Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Jonah works as a ski coach at Alpine Ski Club in Collingwood. He is also an avid guitar player. A Manitou camper for eight years, Jonah completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Jeremy Gozlan Jr. Counsellor	From Boca Raton, Florida, Jeremy is a student at Spanish River High School. Jeremy has experience volunteering with Temple Beth El. A Manitou camper for nine years, Jeremy completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be his first summer on staff and tenth summer at Manitou.
	Jonathan Grammer Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jonathan is a student at Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, he plays competitive hockey and works as a referee in the FHAA. He has also volunteered as Secretary of Teens for the Community with TFC and holds his Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for three years, Jonathan completed our CIT program in 2010 and received the Lokash award the same year. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Rebecca Greene Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Rebecca is a student at Northern Secondary. During the year, she works as a teacher’s assistant and dances competitively with Rhythm Dance Studio. She also trains with Snowhawks Ski School, has volunteered with Out of the Cold and holds her Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper for seven years, Rebecca completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Eden Haber Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Eden is a student at Northern Secondary. During the year, Eden competes on her school’s Snowboard team and is an executive member of the school’s Free the Children and Unit Way committees. She is also an avid guitar player. A Manitou camper for three years, Eden completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Avery Hoffman Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Avery is a graduate of the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Avery is a student retreat leader for her school’s Shabbaton program. A competitive dancer for eight years, Avery has also been a dancer and choreographer in her school’s Fashion Show. She holds her NLS certification. A Manitou camper for eight years, Avery completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be her second summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Gabi Kaplan Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Gabi is a student at the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Gabi tutors with disabled children and volunteers with Ve’ahavta’s street team. She also holds her Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for eight years, Gabi completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Sam Keshen Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Sam is a graduate of the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year Sam is an avid guitar player and records his own music and also plays ‘single-A’ hockey. He is also completing his Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for eight years, he completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be Sam’s second summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Gena Krikler Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Gena is a student at the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Gena works as a snowboard instructor at Snowhawks Ski School holding her level 1 instructor’s certification. She is also an avid water-skier and holds her Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper for five years, Gena completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Jenna LaRose Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jenna is a graduate of Havergal College. During the year, Jenna served as captain of her school’s dance troupe and directed the school’s One Act Play Festival. She has also volunteered with Derrydown Public School’s homework club, competes on her school’s Synchronized Swimming team, completed her grade eight Royal Academy of Dance exam and holds her Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper for eight years, Jenna completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be her second summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Adam Levine Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Adam is a graduate of the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. He has played AAA hockey with the Toronto Red Wings for eight years and won gold for Team Canada at the World Jewish Ice Hockey Championships. An avid waterskier during the summer, Adam also holds his Bronze Cross. He was a Manitou camper for nine years completing our CIT program in 2009. This will be Adam’s second summer on staff and 11th at Manitou.
	Aaron Levitin Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Aaron is a student in the IB1 program at Upper Canada College. During the year Arron plays football, basketball, volleyball, baseball and hockey. This past year, he was also involved in a community service trip to Kenya to build a school in a local community. Aaron also holds his Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper for seven years, Aaron completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Jacqueline Levy Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jacqueline is a student at Forest Hill Collegiate. During the year, Jacqueline teaches snowboarding at Snowhawks Ski School and is an assistant dance instructor at Front and Centre Dance Academy. She also holds her Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper for nine years, Jacqueline completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Megan MacKellar Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Megan is a student at Northern Secondary. Megan has played ‘AA’ Hockey for 10 years and holds her level 1 referee certification. She also volunteers as a squash and power skating instructor at the Toronto Cricked club, plays competitive basketball and holds her Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper for three years, Megan completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Shane Morganstein Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Shane is a student at the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Shane is involved in building sets for his school’s theatrical productions or debating on the model UN committee. A Manitou camper for four years, Shane completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Samara Morton Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Samara is a student at Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Samara teaches skiing at Alpine Ski Club holding her level 1 instructor and NCCP level 1 coaching certifications. She also holds her NLS and swimming instructor certifications and has teaching experience with Shendy’s Swim School. A Manitou camper for nine years, Samara completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Daniel Oelbaum Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Daniel is a graduate of the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Daniel works as a ski instructor at Alpine Ski club and holds his Level 1 CSIA Instructors certification. He also plays competitive soccer with his school team and in the North Toronto Soccer League as well as playing baseball and hockey. A Manitou camper for nine years, Daniel completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be his second summer on staff and 11th at Manitou.
	Ali Persiko Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Ali is a student at Forest Hill Collegiate. During the winter, Ali teaches skiing at Earl Bales and holds her level 1 CASI instructors certification along with her Bronze Cross. She also has volunteered with the Lansing Retirement Home. A Manitou camper for eight years, Ali completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Jonah Prussky Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jonah is a student at Crestwood Preparatory Academy. He has past experience volunteering at the Baycrest Centre and is captain of his school’s Reach for the Top team. A Manitou camper for seven years, Jonah completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Josh Robins Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Josh is a graduate of Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. A competitive hockey player for many years, Josh currently plays select for Forest Hill. He also coached hockey at Leo Baeck for two seasons. Josh completed the CIT program at Camp Arrowhead and holds his Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for eight years, Josh completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be his second summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Sierra Robins Jr. Counsellor	From King City, Ontario, Sierra is a graduate of Aurora High School. During the year, Sierra volunteers at an Early Childhood Learning Centre and works with her school’s Social Committee. A Manitou camper for seven years, Sierra completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be her second summer on staff.
	Sofie Rootenberg Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Sofie is a student at the Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Sofie is a choreographer for CHAT’s Dance Fashion Show production, yearbook editor, and has volunteered with Friendship Circle and the North York Harvest Food Bank. She also holds her Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for five years, Sofie completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Ashley Rosenberg Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Ashley is a graduate of Forest Hill Collegiate. During the year, Ashley serves as a school Prefect and works as a Swimming Instructor at Zodiac Swim School holding her Bronze Cross and WSI certifications. She also has experience as an assistant educator at Temple Sinai. A Manitou camper for seven years, Ashley completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be her second summer on staff.
	Blake Rosenberg Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Blake is a student at the Crescent School. During the year, Blake works as a ski instructor at Alpine Ski club. He also participated in an outreach trip to Ghana teaching English and Soccer and has past experience as a classroom volunteer at Willow Park School and Firgrove School. Blake also holds his Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for seven years, Blake completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Erin Rosenberg Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Erin is a student at Forest Hill Collegiate. During the year, Erin serves as a school Prefect and has experience as an assistant educator at Temple Sinai. She also has competed with her school’s softball team and holds her Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper for eight years, Erin completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Jordan Rostowsky Jr. Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Jordan is a graduate of the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Jordan plays with his school’s Hockey, Baseball and Cross Country teams and also plays rep hockey. A member of his school’s Athletic Council, he is also a volunteer youth leader at hi synagogue. A Manitou camper for six years, Jordan completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be his second summer on staff.
	Erin Silver Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Erin is a student at Forest Hill Collegiate. During the year, Erin has volunteered with Ve’ahavta, Beth Shalom Synagogue and as a sales rep for Rock Your Cause. She also plays on her school’s Basketball and Baseball teams. She also holds her Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for seven years, Erin completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Sasha Solomon Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Sasha is a student at the Bishop Strachan School. During the year, Sasha serves as a middle school advisor and sits on the Global Awareness Council and Arts Clubs Council. She also teaches snowboarding at Alpine Ski Club, has volunteered with Out of the Cold and holds her NLS and swimming instructors certifications. A Manitou camper for seven years, Sasha completed out CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Aaron Stern Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Aaron is a graduate of Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. He had experience volunteering with Ve’ahavta and the UJA and has worked as a Hockey Instructor with Dynamic Hockey School. Aaron has also filmed and appeared in videos for R.A. Productions and performed comedic shorts for his school’s talent show. A Manitou camper for eight years, Aaron completed our CIT program in 2009. This will be his second summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Arielle Strasser Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Arielle is a student at Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year Arielle is the lead choreographer for her school’s Dance Fashion show and is head of the children’s program at her shul. She has volunteered with Ve’ahavta, Free the Children and Canadian Breast Cancer and also holds her Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper for nine years, Arielle received the Lokash Award in 2009 and completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Brandon Tomash Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Brandon is a student at Don Valley Academy. During the year, Brandon was the captain of his school’s Rugby team. Brandon has danced competitively for many years with Young Dancers of Canada and Performing Dance Arts. He also has experience volunteering with Carefree Lodge and holds his Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for nine years, Brandon completed our CIT program in 2009. He returns after a year away for his first summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Robbie Venis Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Robbie is a student at the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Robbie plays competitive hockey, soccer, baseball and volleyball and sits on the school’s athletic council. He also has experience volunteering with Ve’ahavta, plays guitar and holds his Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for nine years, Robbie completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be his first summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Leigh Walderman Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Leigh is a student at the Bishop Strachan School. During the year Leigh works as a photographer and videographer assistant with Reaction Studios. She also has experience volunteering as a peer tutor and organizing an event for Doctors Without Borders. A Manitou camper for nine years, Leigh completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Adam Wilson Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Adam is a student at Crestwood Preparatory Academy. During the year Adam plays competitive rugby and hockey. He also holds his Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for four years, Adam completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Jordy Winkler Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jordy is a student at the York School. During the year, Jordy works as a snowboard instructor at Alpine Ski Club and as an assistant swimming instructor at Shendy’s Swim School holding her Bronze Cross and AWSI certifications. She has also volunteered as a peer tutor. A Manitou camper for six years, Jordy completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Molli Worb Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Molli is a student at Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Molli teaches skiing at Alpine Ski Club holding her CSIA level 1 and NLS certifications. She has also volunteered with Out of the Cold and served as chairperson for Teens for the Community. A Manitou camper for nine years, Molli completed our CIT program in 2010. This will be her first summer on staff.
