Christine Barbaro Unit Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Christine has been working for the past three years with Marsham International Health Food Brokers as an Assistant Brand Manager. She is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a degree in Sociology. Christine has worked with and attended various leadership workshops over the past several years and is also a certified climbing instructor. Christine was named World Games Captain in 1999 and has worked at Manitou as a counsellor, Unit Head and Activity Head. This is her ninth season on staff and third as CIT Coordinator.
	Shoshana Bentley-Jacobs Unit Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Shoshana is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with an honours degree in English. After spending several summers as a camper at Camp Walden in Bancroft, Shoshana worked there for three summers on staff as a counsellor and assisting on evening and camp-wide programming. She also has a year's experience volunteering as a Literacy Instructor. She returns for her second season at Manitou and first as Senior Girls Unit Head.
	Michael Chan Unit Heads	From Tecumseh, Ontario, Michael is a graduate of the University of Windsor with a degree in Communications. Mike has been an avid golfer for many years and has also played competitive soccer, football and hockey. He has worked as a baseball umpire and soccer referee. Michael has also been involved in the Scouts Organization having earned his Chief Scout's Award. He returns for his third season at Manitou and first as Sophomore Boys Unit Head.
	Justin Hanna Unit Heads	Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Justin grew up in Vancouver, British Colombia and is a recent graduate of Humber College's Post Graduate Marketing Management program in Toronto. He is also a graduate of Simon Frasier University's Criminology and Political Science programs and is currently launching his own online company called FIGJAM Apparel. He has prior experience as the Head Coach of the Mt. Seymour Ski Club racing team and worked for a summer as a counsellor at Camp Lincoln for Boys in the United States. He holds his CYA Bronze 4 certification and his Bronze Cross. This will be his fifth summer on staff at Manitou, and third as Senior Boys Unit Head.
	Julie Klein Unit Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Julie is a student at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec studying Education and English. Julie has previous camp experience working as a supervisor at RAC Camp in Toronto and as a counsellor for three years at Camp Timberlane in Haliburton. She has also worked as an Early Childhood Education Assistant at WoodGreen Child Care. This will be Julie's first summer at Manitou as Junior Girls Unit Head.
	Dan Scratch Unit Heads	From Tecumseh, Ontario, Dan is a graduate of the University of Windsor with a degree in History and Communications. Dan has experience as a High School Baseball and Atom Hockey coach. In 2005, Dan was names World Games Captain. He returns for his fourth summer at Manitou and his second as Junior Boys Unit Head.
	Julia Strauss Unit Heads	From Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Julia is a student at Wilfred Laurier University studying Psychology. Julia has worked as a floor rep in her school residence. She also has experience working as a counsellor and lead youth coordinator at Maryhill Summer Camp and as an assistant coach in the Kitchener-Waterloo Baseball League. She was a CIT at Sports World Day Camp in 1999 and holds her Bronze Medallion. Julia returns for her third season on staff and first as Sophomore Girls Unit Head.
	Jay Wengle Unit Heads	From Thornhill, Ontario, Jay has spent the past year teaching Health at York University and managing a research study for overweight teens at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Jay has also co-authored the book Getting a Healthy Weight for your Child. Jay holds a degree in Education from OISE, specializing in Health and Physical Education and his MSc from the University of Guelph. He also spent two years studying Medicine in Australia. Jay has worked at Manitou for nine seasons, including eight as a Unit Head. He returns for his tenth season at camp and third as Freshkids Unit Head.
	Stephanie Abramovich Activity Heads	From Dundas, Ontario, Stephanie is a graduate of the Small Business and Entrepreneurship program at Mohawk College. She has also completed the Arts and Science program at Fanshawe College in London. While at Fanshawe, Stephanie played on their Varsity Women's Basketball team. She has coaching experience with the Junior Varsity team at Parkside Highschool and with the Dundas Dynamo House League where she also worked as a summer camp counsellor for two seasons. She returns for her second summer at Manitou as Head of Basketball.
	Ben Allsop Activity Heads	From Kingsville, Ontario, Ben is a part time student at St. Clair College in the Developmental Service Worker program. Ben also works with the Essex County School Board as an Educational Assistant working with special needs students, and coaches Baseball and Basketball. He also has experience as a Respite Support Worker. Ben joins us for his first summer at Manitou as Head of O.C.S.
	Dave Almon Activity Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Dave is a graduate of the University of Calgary with a degree in Kinesiology. While in school, Dave was the starting defensive halfback of the Calgary Dino's varsity men's football team. Dave also has two years experience coaching midget and high school football. More recently, Dave has experience working with the RiverWatch Science Program on the Bow River. Dave holds his level 1 River Guide certification as well as intermediate Scuba Diving certification. He returns for his second summer at Manitou and first as Head of Radio/Media.
	Acacia Betancourt Activity Heads	From Tucson, Arizona, Acacia is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Studio Art and Graphic Design. Acacia has prior experience as a counsellor and art instructor at Camp Romaca in Massachusetts. She also has worked as a childcare attendant at Gold's Gym for three years and as a Math tutor. She returns for her second summer on staff at Manitou and first as Head of Visual Arts.
	Ann Coleman Activity Heads	From Calgary, Alberta, Ann is a graduate of the Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver, British Colombia where she focused on Ceramics and Sculpture. Ann has prior experience working at an arts camp in Calgary. She was also a synchronized swimmer for seven years and holds her NLS certification. This will be her third summer at Manitou and second as Head of Pottery.
	Meredith Crouch Activity Heads	From London, Ontario, Meredith is a student at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton studying Chemical Engineering. Meredith has previous camp experience working as a Lifeguard at Algoma Music Camp and the two summers prior, as a Sail Instructor at HMCS Ontario Sea Cadet Camp. She has also worked as an English Tutor. Meredith holds her NLS, Swimming Instructors, CYA Green Instructors, PCO and Restricted Operator's Certifications. She has also completed the Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Standard. She returns for her second summer at Manitou as Head of Sailing.
	Maggie Dawson Activity Heads	From Vancouver, British Colombia, Maggie is a student at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario studying History and International Development. She has been travelling over the past year in Ghana, interning with the Soo Traditional Area Development Foundation, and teaching literacy at a small rural library. Maggie has previous experience working as an Au Pair in England, working at an orphanage in Peru and coaching figure skating for five years. This will be her third season working at Manitou and first as Head of Eco Adventure.
	Kyle Dine Activity Heads	From Kingston, Ontario, Kyle is a graduate of the University of Ottawa with a degree in Commerce and is currently launching his own e-business called Allergy Translation. Kyle has been playing guitar for years, having performed in coffee houses from Kingston to Ottawa and has taught private and group guitar lessons over the past five years. He is currently working on a new project for children with food allergies called "You Must Be Nuts!" He has played competitive Volleyball, Baseball and Badminton and has experience coaching Volleyball. In 2001, Kyle worked at Bayridge Leadership Camp as a head counsellor. In 2005, he was named World Games Captain at Manitou. He returns for his fifth summer on staff and fourth as Head of Guitar.
	Jeff Donnelly Activity Heads	From Sudbury, Ontario, Jeff has been working over the past two years but will be returning to College in the fall for Power Engineering. Jeff was a competitive hockey player for over 14 years and also has seven years experience as a referee. He has also been an active golfer for over 10 years. Jeff returns after two years away for his third summer at Manitou and first as Head of Golf.
	Scott Evely Activity Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Scott has been working over the past year as a rockclimbing instructor, and has also spent time at Camp Olympia working with their off-season programs. Scott has also been a skiing instructor with the City of Toronto for the past seven years. A graduate of the Fire Protection program at Seneca College, Scott also has previous experience working with the Boys and Girls Club as a Woodworking instructor and has three years experience working as a baseball umpire. This will be his fourth summer at Manitou and first as Head of Woodworking.
	Meaghan Frauts Activity Heads	From Uxbridge, Ontario, Meaghan has recently completed her MA in English Literature at Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo. She previously had completed her undergraduate work at the University of Western Ontario in London where she was presented with the AUCC Award and the UWO Go Global Award for contribution to International Study. Meaghan has trained in Swimming, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Soccer, Ice Hockey, Waterskiing, Yoga and is also a Marathon Runner. She has prior camp experience at Camp Olympia and Canadian Adventure Camp. Meaghan returns for her second summer at Manitou and first as Head of Aerobics.
	Dan (Goldy) Goldenberg Activity Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Goldy has been articling at the law firm Heenan Blaikie. He is a graduate of the Osgoode Law program and also holds a degree in Philosophy and Music Technology from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Dan has 15 years of camp experience including several years on staff at Camp Tamakwa in Algonquin Park and more recently teaching waterskiing at Manitou. Goldy also spent summers as Senior Boys Unit Head and CIT Coordinator and hold his Bronze Cross. Goldy returns to Manitou for his seventh season at second as Head of Waterski/Wakeboarding.
	Jon Goodman Activity Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Jon is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario in London with a degree in Kinesiology. Jon is a certified Can-Fit Pro personal trainer. He also has many years experience with the Toronto Inline Roller Hockey League as well as with Hillcrest Ice Hockey. In 2001, he worked as a volunteer at Camp Kinneret holds his ORCA level D in Canoeing and has experience playing competitive baseball. Jon returns for his fourth Manitou summer and his second as Head of In-Line Hockey.
	Jenn Heighington Activity Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Jenn is a graduate of Centennial College's Broadcasting and Film program. Jenn has been an avid photographer for many years, logging many darkroom hours. She also has past experience teaching Jewlery Making at Crestwood. Jen returns after several years away for her third summer on staff and first as Head of Photography.
	Jocelyn Jeffrey Activity Heads	From Belle River, Ontario, Jocelyn is a graduate of the University of Windsor with a degree in English Language and Literature. Last year, she also spent a semester studying abroad in England. Jocelyn has been playing on varsity, rep and house league Soccer teams for most of the past 16 years. She also has experience working as a tutor through Belle River Public School and has been a classroom volunteer. This will be Jocelyn's second summer at Manitou as Head of Soccer.
	Dani Klein Activity Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Dani is a student at the University of Toronto studying English. Dani has worked with children as a Drama coach, and as a belayer with the Toronto Climbing Academy and is currently working as a private Nanny. She also has experience working as an instructor with the Climbing Club at the University of Guelph and holds her level 1 ropes certification. Dani returns for her sixth season on staff at Manitou and first as Head of Ropes and Climbing.
	Tamar Krauss Activity Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Tamar is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario in London with a degree in Health Science. Tamar was a member of the Canadian Rhythmic Gymnastics Team, later working as a gymnastics and dance coach and choreographer at Kalev Rhythmic Gymnastics Club and earning her NCCP level one coaching certification. Tamar founded the Yoga program at Manitou in 2004 and returns to Manitou for her third summer on staff as Head of Yoga.
	Brian Liberty Activity Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Brian is a graduate of the Building Renovations and Contracting program at George Brown College. Brian has six years experience volunteering as a Scout Leader and has also been a member of the senior staff at the National Music Camp of Canada teaching the Classical Double Bass. He holds Canoe Tripping Certification through Scouts Canada as well as his Bronze Medallion and Wilderness First Aid certifications. He returns for his third year on staff at Manitou and first as Head of Canoe Tripping.
	Taimi Lynch Activity Heads	Originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Taimi now lives in Toronto and is taking courses with the University of Guelph in the Child Studies program while working part time with the Hospital for Sick Children. Taimi also has a diploma in Early Childhood Education through Humber College. Taimi has previous experience doing placements with the Sunburst Children's Centre and at the Hydro Bright Lights Childcare Centre. She also volunteered as a Camp Counsellor with the Summer Institute for Kids. This will be her first summer at Manitou.
	Megan McKinley Activity Heads	From Alameda, California, Megan teaches Drama and English at San Leandro High School. She is a graduate of Saint Mary's College of California with her Single Subject Teaching Credential and has a degree in English from the University of California. Megan has previous camp experience with Alameda Teen Centre Adventure Camp and has also worked as a Dance Instructor and Choreographer with Head Royce School, as a Water Safety Instructor with Mariners Square Athletic Club and as a Musical Theatre Instructor with Dance 10 Studios. This will be Megan's first summer at Manitou as Head of Theatre.
	Ashley Miller Activity Heads	From Ancaster, Ontario, Ashley is a student at the University of Guelph studying History. Ashley works during the year as a Swimming Instructor and Lifeguard with the YMCA. She has past experience working for a season as a private Nanny, as well as working as a counsellor at YMCA John Island Camp and has volunteered with the D.R.E.A.M.S. program building houses in the Dominican Republic. She hold her NLS certification and is working toward her ORCA Flatwater Instructors certification. Ashley returns for her second summer at Manitou and first as Head of Canoeing and Kayaking.
	Yossi Niznik Activity Heads	From Thornhill, Ontario, Yossi is a student at York University in Toronto studying Kinesiology. Yossi has played competitive baseball and volleyball for many years, having played AAA hardball with the Thornhill Reds. He also has been training in competitive dance for over 10 years, winning four Canadian titles. Yossi has experience working as a Dance and Drum instructor at Vlad's Dance Company and volunteers with a youth program at his synagogue. He returns for his third season at Manitou and first as Head of Baseball.
	Mike Plume Activity Heads	Originally from Moncton, New Brunswick, Mike now lives in Nashville, Tennessee after having spent considerable time in Edmonton, Alberta and Toronto, Ontario working as a professional singer, song writer and guitar player. Mike began touring in 1987, and in 1993 released his first CD Songs from a Northern Town. Since then he and the "Mike Plume Band" followed up with eight more CDs, including his most recent release Rock and Roll Recordings, Vol. 1 Growing up, Mike also played Hockey and Football. He returns for his third summer at Manitou as Head of Rock Music.
	Andrew Polwarth Activity Heads	From Glasgow, Scotland, Andrew is a graduate of the University of Glasgow with a degree in Infection Biology. Andrew is a certified PTR Tennis coach with 7 years coaching experience at Strathgryffe Tennis & Squash Club. He has spent the past three summers working at Camp Taconic in Massachusetts as a counsellor and Tennis Instructor. He also holds his American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification. Andrew joins us for his first summer at Manitou as Head of Tennis.
	Karen Shopsowitz Activity Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Karen has worked on numerous television productions as a director, editor and writer, over the past 15 years. Her recent credits include series producer, director and co-editor of the three part series, Canada's War in Colour, which aired on CBC (and for which she received a Gemini nomination), and My Father's Camera, produced by the National Film Board of Canada, which was screened at several film festivals, and which was awarded the prestigious Peabody Award. Karen also works as a cameraperson, and is currently developing a dramatic series for television. She returns for her third summer at Manitou as Head of Video Production.
	Emily Taffler Activity Heads	From Mississauga, Ontario, Emily is a graduate of OISE in Toronto with a degree in Education as well as the University of Guelph with a degree in Child Studies. Emily has been lifeguarding and teaching Swimming for eight years, holding her NLS, Instructors, AST and Bronze Examiner's certifications. Emily spent three seasons working at Camp Trillium Childhood Cancer Support Centre, most recently as their Waterfront Director. Emily returns for her second season at Manitou as Head of Swimming and Waterfront.
	Julia Webster Activity Heads	From Toronto, Ontario, Julia is a student at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec studying Cognitive Science and History. Julia has several years experience playing competitive volleyball and basketball. Julia also has experience working as a tutor and holds her Bronze Cross. She was a Manitou camper for three years completing our CIT program in 2003. Julia was also named World Games captain in 2006. This will be her seventh summer at Manitou, third on staff and first officially as Head of Volleyball.
	Odessa Wowk Activity Heads	From St. Albert, Alberta, Odessa is a graduate of the University of Calgary with a degree in Dance. She holds a Dance Diploma from Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton in addition to training and certificates in Ballet (RAD & ISTD), Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Lyrical and Ukrainian Folk Dance. She has studied at the University of Havana, The Edge in Los Angeles, Broadway Dance Centre and Steps in Broadway in New York. She has also competed in Alberta, Florida, California and Hawaii; and has teaching experience at The Art of Dance and at Dance Unlimited. This will be her second season at Manitou as Head of Dance.
	Luis Arevalo Recalde Assistant	From Pasto Narino, Colombia, Luis works as a full time music teacher. He has studied Music, Architecture and German Language and also plays with his own band, having experience with guitar, keyboards and drums. A regular volunteer with the YMCA in Colombia, Luis also has camp experience in the United States at Camp Woodhaven and the Cambridge School of Weston Summer Day Camp, both in Massachusetts. He joins us for his first summer at Manitou.
	Dan Bartlett Assistant	From Kingston, Ontario, Daniel has been working for the past year in Windsor as a Tool and Dye apprentice. Daniel has extensive Canoe Tripping experience over the past 5 years in locations such as Algonquin Park; the Adirondack Mountains and Labrador through Gould Lake Outdoor Centre. He holds his ORCA Flatwater Instructor, Tripping Level 2, Moving Water Level 1 as well as his Bronze Cross and Wilderness First Aid certifications. Daniel joins us for his first summer at Manitou.
	Warren Carmichael Assistant	From Kingston, Ontario, Warren is a student at Laurentian University in Sudbury in the Outdoor Adventure Leadership program. Warren has several years experience taking leadership and training courses through the Gould Lake Outdoor Centre. He holds his ORCA certifications in Flatwater Instruction, Moving Water, Flatwater Kayak and Tripping level 2 as well as his NLS and Wilderness First Responder certifications. This will be Warren's second summer at Manitou.
	Jennifer Claessens Assistant	From Campbellville, Ontario, Jen is a student at Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo studying Geography. Jen is the captain of Laurier's Varsity Women's Swim Team and has been swimming competitively for over 14 years. She holds her NLS and Swimming Instructors certifications and worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor with the town of Milton for three years. This will be her third summer at Manitou.
	George Crouch Assistant	From London, Ontario, George is a student at South Secondary School. During the year, George competes on his school's Swim and Cross Country teams and is also involved with the Music Council and Senior Jazz Band. George has previous experience as a Lifeguard at Algoma Music Camp and holds his NLS. This will be his first summer on staff at Manitou.
	Collette Dufour Assistant	From Sarnia, Ontario, Colette is a student at the University of Windsor studying French language. She previously spent one year studying Recreation at Memorial University. Colette has previous experience on staff at Camp Tamakwa and as an LIT at Camp Medeba. She was also a volunteer in the Katimavik program, spent a year working as a nanny in Banff Alberta and holds her NLS certification. This will be Colette's first summer at Manitou.
	Ryan Forman Assistant	From Toronto, Ontario, Ryan is a graduate of Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia with a degree in Sociology. A former ranked Junior Tennis player in Ontario, Ryan also has coaching experience as the Head of Tennis at Zodiac Day Camp in Toronto. In 2005, Ryan helped to set up The Ryan Forman Corneal Equipment Fund and has been actively organizing fundraising activities to support the Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundations. He returns for his second summer on staff at Manitou.
	Matt Freder Assistant	From Westmount, Quebec, Matthew is a student at McGill University studying Mechanical Engineering. He has been a keen waterskiier for many years and holds his NLS and Swimming Instructors certification and his PCO card. He is also an NCCP level 1 Downhill Skiing coach. Matt was a Manitou camper for three summers, completing our CIT program in 2003. This will be his seventh summer at camp and fourth on staff.
	David Gardos Assistant	From Toronto, Ontario, David is a student in the Faculty of Law at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. David also holds a degree in History from the University of Western Ontario in London. David worked for three years at Camp Northland as a Unit Head and as their Head of Tennis. He holds his OTA level 1 certification. He also has experience directing and starring on stage for CoLe Theatrical Productions. This will be David's first summer at Manitou.
	Lisa Lang Assistant	Originally from Oakville, Ontario, Lisa is a graduate of the Outdoor Pursuits program at the University of Calgary in Alberta and has spent the past year working in Toronto. Lisa has worked as a group leader and lifeguard in several camp settings and has been trained in lead climbing, multipitch, top roping, ropes safety & rescue, and alpine and glacier travel in the Rocky Mountains and has experience teaching a University level rock-climbing course. She holds her level 2 swift water rescue certification, is an ARCA certified Class 1 river instructor and holds her NLS. She also completed the LIT program at Camp Madeba and holds her RCM grade 10 level in piano. In 2005, she was named World Games Captain. Lisa returns for her fifth summer on staff at Manitou.
	Ruth Lantz Assistant	From Chicago, Illinois, Ruth is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Fine Arts and is now currently working for Decor Galor in Northbrook. She also maintains Emission Studios, and artists run collaborative in Chicago. Ruth has many years experience working as a Lifeguard and Swimming instructor with the American Red Cross. She also has experience working as a nursery supervisor and more recently worked as an assistant at the Phyllis Bramson Studio. Ruth returns for her third summer working at Manitou.
	Hayley Levinter Assistant	From Toronto, Ontario, Hayley has been studying Photography through York University and Pikto. Hayley also holds a degree in Sociology from York University and has taken courses in Fashion at George Brown College and Photography through Toronto Image Works. Hayley was at Camp White Pine for 14 years, including four summers on staff. She was also a competitive figure skater for many years and holds her Bronze Cross. This will be Haley's fourth summer on staff at Manitou.
	Karen Lew Assistant	From Vancouver, British Columbia, Karen is a graduate of the Emily Carr Institute with a degree in Fine Arts. She previously completed a Fine Arts diploma at Langara College. Karen has specialized in ceramics, especially sculptural, but also has experience with digital mediums. She has previous experience with AWANA, a children's outreach ministry, as well as at Hastings Summer Safari Daycamp. This will be her first summer at Manitou.
	Lauren Markowski Assistant	From Kingston, Ontario, Lauren is a student at the University of Western Ontario in London studying Visual Arts. Lauren has experience as a Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor with Progress Fitness and Aquatics Centre, the Kingston YMCA and Varty Lake Swim Program. After taking many courses through the Gould Lake Outdoor Centre travelling through Algonquin Park, the Adirondacks and James Bay, she holds her OCRA Tripping 2, Flatwater Instructor and Moving Water 1A certifications, along with her Wilderness First Aid, NLS and Swimming Instructor certs. This will be Lauren's second summer working at Manitou.
	Fraser McIntosh Assistant	From Kelowna, British Columbia, Fraser is a student at the University of British Colombia's Okanagan Campus studying Ecology. Fraser has been rock climbing for over six years and also coaches volleyball at KLO Middle School. He spent one summer as a volunteer at the Vancouver Aquarium and is also a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver. This will be his second summer at Manitou.
	Melanie McNeill Assistant	Originally from Carleton Place, Ontario, Melanie has been living in Toronto for the past several years working on theatrical productions including The Lord of the Rings, Mama Mia!, Hairspray and The Producers as well as a number of "Fringe" shows. Melanie is a graduate of the Technical Theatre Program at Ryerson Theatre School and has experience as a designer, cutter, painter, prop maker, puppet clothier and more. She returns for her third summer at Manitou.
	Ian Mitchell Assistant	From Brisbane, Australia, Ian is a graduate of Griffith University with a degree in Environmental Science in Ecology and Conservation Biology. He has spent much of the few years travelling throughout Canada and Europe. Ian has experience working with Games Plus doing Team Building games and activities for children and adults and has also been working off season groups with Camp Olympia. He has played competitive Rugby and Track and Field and has taken several years of Guitar. Ian returns for his third summer at Manitou.
	Carly Rogers Assistant	From Pickering, Ontario, Carly is a student at Trent University in Peterborough studying Environmental Science. Carly previously spent a semester with Outward Bound Canada College building her Tripping and Paddling skills. She holds her Wilderness First Aid, ORCA D and Bronze Cross certifications. She has experience as a Canoe Instructor through Trent University and at Doe Lake Girls' Camp. 	Gina Santos Assistant	From Winnipeg, Manitoba, Gina is a student at the University of Winnipeg studying Industrial Arts Education. Through her program, Gina has done placements at Darwin School and at Sisler High School. She also has taken courses in Theatre and runs her own Greeting Card company. Gina joins us for her first summer at Manitou.
	Ryan Shuman Assistant	From Toronto, Ontario, Ryan is a student at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec studying International Business and Marketing. In 2005, he was a member of the school's silver medal winning Commerce Games team. Prior to returning to school, Ryan worked for three years as a Manager at EDO and EDO-ko restaurants in Toronto. He has been an avid waterskiier for many years, including working a season at Camp Arrowhead as well as a season and a half at Manitou. A Manitou camper for four years, Ryan completed our CIT program in 1998. He returns for his fourth summer on staff and eighth at Manitou.
	McKenna Sweet Assistant	From Springfield, Missouri, McKenna is a student at Missouri State University working towards a degree in Recreation. During the year, McKenna works in an after school program for elementary students with the Springfield Park Board. She has also been the Assistant Head Lifeguard at Quail Creek Pool for the past three years and holds her American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification. This will be McKenna's first summer at Manitou.
	Aimee Woods Assistant	From Tasmania, Australia, Aimee has been working in Banff, Alberta for the past year. Back at home, she was the Director of the MRC Childcare Centre for two years. She is a graduate of the University of Tasmania with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Aimee also has experience as a Team Leader at Stewart Childcare and has several years experience teaching in Kindergarten and elementary school classrooms. This will be her second season at Manitou.
	Jen Zok Assistant	From London, Ontario, Jen works a Music Teacher with the Peel District School Board. A graduate of Queens University in Kingston, Jen holds degrees in Music and Education. She also studied in the Educational Partnership programs with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra at the Lincoln Center and has completed the 'Music Mentorship' accompaniment program with the National Ballet of Canada. She has played piano in numerous Kiwanis Music Festivals and has accompanied numerous shows. She also has experience teaching piano and guitar lessons. She returns for her fifth season at Manitou.
	Gord Anderson Support	Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Gord now lives in Toronto, Ontario where he has been working and taking courses through Ryerson University. Gord is a graduate of Bemidji State University in Minnesota with a B Sc. He played Division II NCAA baseball while at school, and has had coaching experience including a position as Assistant Coach of the York University Men's Varsity Team. In 2002, Gord was named World Games captain. This will be his eighth summer at Manitou.
	Nicky Brockman Support	From Essex, Ontario, Nicky is a graduate of the University of Windsor's Nursing program. Nicky has several years experience working as a health care assistant at both Iler Lodge and Country Village Health Care Centre. She is also a volunteer fire fighter at her local station and has experience as a basketball and soccer coach. Nicky also twice attended the OELC in Barrie. She returns for her second summer at Manitou.
	Matt Brundage Support	From Toronto, Ontario, Matt is an English teacher at J. Clarke Richardson Collegiate. He holds his B Ed from York University, his BA from Trent University in Peterborough and completed a year of Theatre at George Brown College in Toronto. Matt worked several years professionally in theatre starting in 1995, as a part owner of Pudge Productions. Since then he has written and directed several plays including Manitou hits "Manitou: The Musical" along with its many sequels and "MacBeth: More or Less." Matt returns for his ninth season at Manitou and third as Arts Coordinator.
	Glen Crossman Support	From Parry Sound, Ontario, Glen has recently shut down his own business to come and work for Manitou on a full-time basis. Glen has years of experience working with building foundations, excavations, plumbing, electrical and landscaping work. He returns for his fourth year on staff.
	Alana Devereaux Support	From St. John's, Newfoundland, Alana is a student at the Centre for Nursing Studies at Memorial University. Alana has completed nursing placements at the Cambridge Estates Home and at Eastern Health. He has also worked or volunteered with the YMCA-YWCA of St. John's, the Boys and Girls Club of St. John's and with the Children's Wish Foundation of Newfoundland. This will be Alana's first summer at Manitou.
	Caitlin Dobie Support	Originally from Mississauga, Ontario, Caitlin now lives in Oakville and is a graduate of Wilfred Laurier University with an honours degree in Psychology and Biology. During the past year, Caitlin has served as the Chairperson of the Judicial Affairs Council at Laurier. She also has past experience as a Lifeguard, Snowboarding and Skating Instructor. This will be Caitlin's first summer at Manitou.
	Heather Drew Support	From Toronto, Ontario, Heather has spent the year working at the Institute of Law Clerks. A graduate of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Heather has a degree in Gender and Women's Studies. She is a certified amateur Figure Skating coach and also competed nationally in sprint Canoe/Kayak with the Balmy Brach Canoe Club. She has prior experience working as a private nanny. Heather returns for her third summer on staff.
	Kaitlyn Foggo Support	From Kitchener, Ontario, Kaitlyn is a graduate of Grand River Collegiate. Over the past year, Kaitlyn has been doing a placement at Lackner Woods Public School as a teaching assistant. She is also actively involved in her school's student council and plays on the Varsity Girls Field Hockey team. Kaitlyn also spent two summers as a CIT at Sportsworld Day Camp. This will be her first summer at Manitou.
	Jeremy Friedman Support	Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Jeremy completed medical school there in 1985 and moved to Toronto, Ontario shortly after. He specialized in paediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto from 1990 to 1994, since then he has been on staff at the hospital as the Director of Inpatient Paediatric Medicine. He is also the author of the 2nd edition of the bestselling book "The 3 AM Handbook: The most commonly asked questions about your child's health." He returns for his fourth summer at Manitou.
	Dan Galley Support	From Dunchurch, Ontario, Dan works during the year as a self-employed forester in the Parry Sound area and is also an avid Animal Rights activist. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a degree in Forestry. Dan returns for his sixth season at Manitou.
	Zvi Gorlick Support	From Toronto, Ontario, Zvi has practiced Family Medicine in Toronto for over 19 years. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto's Medical School. He also volunteers as a house league hockey coach during the year. He returns for his seventh year at Manitou.
	Dennis Jeffrey Support	From Parry Sound, Ontario, Dennis has been part of the maintenance team with us and at the Inn at Manitou for many years. We estimate that Dennis' Manitou experience now exceeds 23 seasons making him easily the longest serving member of the Manitou staff team.
	Jennifer Labonte Support	From Windsor, Ontario, Jennifer is a graduate of St. Annes High School. More recently, Jennifer has been working in Respite Care with Family's First. This will be Jennifer's first summer on staff at Manitou.
	Todd Levy Support	From Toronto, Ontario, Todd is a graduate of the University of Toronto's Medical School. He perused post-graduate studies in Toronto and London and now practices Family and Urgent Care Medicine in Toronto. Todd was a Manitou camper four three years and joins us now for his seventh summers as one of our Camp Doctors.
	Chris McKibbin Support	From Toronto, Ontario, Chris is a French and Phys-Ed teacher at XXX Public School. Chris holds a degree in Educations from OISE in Toronto and a degree in Sociology from the University of Guelph. He also spent several months in an immersion program in Trios Pistoles, Quebec. He has experience counselling at a North York day camp as well as coaching house league hockey and little league softball. Chris was named World Games captain in 2001. He returns for his eighth season on staff at Manitou.
	Brittny Robins Support	From Aurora, Ontario, Brittny is a student at the University of Guelph. Brittny has been playing competitive tennis and volleyball for many years. She also has experience as a counsellor's assistant at Camp Arrowhead in 2002. Brittny was a Manitou camper for four years, completing our CIT program in 2004. This will be her third summer on staff and seventh at Manitou.
	Lee Sears Support	From McKellar, Ontario, Lee has been a neighbour of camp Manitou for his entire life. Recently, Lee has joined the Manitou team as our lead carpenter, and camp has benefited greatly by taking advantage of all of his finishing touches. The will be his third season at Manitou.
	Jessi Stern Support	From Toronto, Ontario, Jessi is a student at Bayview Glen School. During the year, Jessi plays on her school's Basketball and Softball teams and also sits on the school's Student Council as Head of Events. She also has experience as an Umpire with North Toronto Baseball, has volunteered at Eglington School and holds her Bronze Cross. Jessi was a Manitou camper for six years completing our CIT program in 2006. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Amanda Switzer Support	From Essex, Ontario, Amanda is a graduate of the Nursing program at the University of Windsor. During the year, she has been working at Country Village Nursing Home. Amanda joins us for her first season working at Manitou.
	Sarah Amyotte Counsellor	From Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Sarah is a student at Dalhousie University in Halifax studying Political Science and Law. Sarah has worked for the past two years with the Dartmouth Sportsplex as a summer camp counsellor and Dance Instructor. She also worked as a camp counsellor for the Canadian Diabetes Association in 2004. Sarah has many years experience in Theatre and Dance having worked with the Neptune Theatre School's Young Performance Company. She joins us for her first summer at Manitou.
	Jon Atlas Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jon is a student at Ryerson University studying Commerce and majoring in Management. Jon has experience playing high school Basketball and also coached for a number of years. A Manitou camper for seven years, Jon completed our CIT program in 1997. He returns after several years away for his fifth summer on staff and 12th at Manitou.
	Jessica Augarten Counsellor	From Scarsdale, New York, Jessica is a student at the University of Maryland studying Business. While in high school Jessica was the head of fundraising of the SHS chapter of Free the Children. She was a Manitou camper for 3 years, completing our CIT program in 2004. This will be her sixth summer at camp and third on staff.
	Rebecca Bacchioni Counsellor	From Rye Brook, New York, Rebecca is a student at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. While in high school, she was the captain of her school's varsity soccer and volleyball teams, and was also a member of the school's dance team. With her dance studio, she performed with the senior company in hip hop, modern and jazz. Rebecca was a Manitou camper for 3 years, completing our CIT program in 2004. This will be her sixth summer at Manitou and third on staff.
	Daniel Bercovici Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Daniel is a graduate of the Business Computer Systems program at Seneca College in Toronto. Daniel has also been a competitive hockey player for many years. Daniel was a Manitou camper for four years completing our CIT program in 2001. This will be his sixth summer on staff and tenth summer at Manitou.
	Melissa Brody Counsellor	From Atlanta, Georgia, Melissa is a student at the University of Georgia in Athens studying Genetics and Spanish. Throughout high school, Melissa played on her schools varsity golf, basketball and soccer teams. He has also worked as a counsellor at the Concourse Athletic Club and at Tophat Soccer Club. She returns for her second summer working at Manitou.
	Melissa Bruce Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Melissa is a student at York University studying Sociology. Melissa has experience working as a counsellor at the Toronto Cricket Club Day Camp, as well as a leader for Brownies and Girl Guides. She has also volunteered as a teacher's assistant and hold her Bronze Cross. She returns for her second summer at Manitou.
	Leigh Bryant Counsellor	Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Leigh grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, and is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Quebec with a degree in International Development and Religious Studies. During the year, Leigh worked as a 'Floor Fellow' supervisor in the McGill residence system. She has also been involved in theatre programs for over 12 years, writing, acting and directing; and was a national level Synchronized Swimmer, holding her NCCP level one coaching certification. This will be Leigh's first summer working at Manitou.
	Karina Campbell Counsellor	From Revesby, Australia, Karina has been travelling and working for much of the past year in Whistler, British Columbia. She is a graduate of the University of Western Sydney with a degree in Design and Technology and also has experience operating her own Tutoring company for four years. Karina has played basketball for the past 10 years, captaining her team to a state championship while in school. She also has four years experience as a coach and referee. This will be Karina's first summer at Manitou.
	Alison Cassidy Counsellor	From Kingston, Ontario, Alison is a student at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec studying Geography and Psychology. During the year Alison is a member of the McGill Model UN and Newman Studends Society. She has past experience as a Tutor in Math and French and s a member of her high school's student council. Alison was a camper at RKY Camp and holds her Bronze Cross. This will be her first summer at Manitou.
	Diego Collado Counsellor	From Lima, Peru, Diego is a student at the Photography Institute of Lima. Diego has an extensive arts background, but has also worked as an Assistant Coach through F.D.R. school summer camp in 2003. He has experience as a teacher and program developer through a community service program in Manchay and has volunteer experience at a local Children's Hospital. This will be his first summer at Manitou.
	Lindsay Comeau Counsellor	From North Bay, Ontario, Lindsay is a graduate of the Social Service Worker program at Canadore College. Through this program, Lindsay has recently developed a social skills training program for students graced K-6 at E.W. Norman Public School. She also volunteers with the Big Sisters "Go Girls" program. This will be Lindsay's first summer at Manitou.
	Alex Copeland Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Alex is a student at the University of Western Ontario on London studying Science. She holds her NLS and Swim Instructors certifications and taught swimming for two years at Frank's Swim School. Alex was a Manitou camper for seven years, completing out CIT program in 2004. She returns for her third summer on staff and tenth at Manitou.
	Brian Corner Counsellor	From Pickering, Ontario, Brian is a student at Trent University in Peterborough in the Concurrent Education program focusing on History and Sociology. Brian has several years training in Visual Arts, as well as three years experience in an acting program. He also has been involved in Martial Arts, holding his Blue Belt, and having experience as an instructor's aid. Brian returns for his second summer at Manitou.
	Keirstyn Daye Counsellor	From Sarnia, Ontario, Keirstyn is a student at Carleton University in Ottawa studying Law and English. Keirstyn has previous camp experience working as a counsellor for two years at Camp Olalondo near London. She has also taken numerous Visual Arts programs and was the captain of her high school Swim team. This will be Keirstyn's first summer at Manitou.
	Laura Dempsey Counsellor	From Mississauga, Ontario, Laura is a student at Sheridan College studying general Arts and Science. Laura has experience as a Swimming Instructor and Lifeguard with the City of Mississauga, holding her Swimming Instructors and NLS certifications. She was also a Junior Leader with the Girl Guides of Canada. This will be Laura's first summer at Manitou.
	Kevin Dupuis Counsellor	From Belle River, Ontario, Kevin is a student at the University of Western Ontario in London studying Finance and Business Administration. Kevin has past experience as an assistant coach with the Belle River minor Hockey Association Peewee Travel Team. He also volunteered as a Math tutor in high school and is an avid golfer. This will be Kevin's first summer working at Manitou.
	Luke Engelhart Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Luke is a student at the University of British Colombia in Vancouver studying Commerce. While in high school, Luke played on his school's basketball, volleyball and baseball teams and also plays basketball in the NTBA and ABA. Luke also served as his school's Student Director of Athletics and coach of the under 14 boys Basketball team. He was a Manitou camper for five years, completing our CIT program in 2004. Luke returns for his eighth summer at Manitou and third on staff.
	Oren Falkovitz Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Oren is a student at Carleton University in Ottawa studying Film. During the year, Oren teaches Dance at the Greta Leeming Studio of Dance and has extensive Dance experience. He is also a certified Soccer referee and worked for four summers as an official with the Thornhill Soccer League. Oren joins us for his first summer at Manitou.
	Sophie Fegent Counsellor	From Sydney, Australia, Sophie is a graduate of Charles Stuart University with a degree in Communications and Public Relations and minoring in Broadcast Jounalism. She has prior experience as a Residential Advisor at her school as well as coaching Water Polo and Netball at Presbyterian Ladies College Sydney. Sophie also played on the New South Wales state Water Polo team and holds her Bronze Cross. This will be her first summer at Manitou.
	Lorne Frilegh Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Lorne is a student at the University of Guelph studying general Arts. Lorne has prior experience as a Teacher's assistant at Forest Hill Elementary and Junior High and as an Assistant Coach with the North Toronto Baseball Association. Lorne has been playing in baseball leagues for over 13 years and also played high school football. This will be his first summer at Manitou.
	Jarred Garfinkle Counsellor	From Montreal, Quebec, Jarred is currently a student at Dawson College studying Health Science. Jarred is an avid Tennis player and Waterskier. In high school, he was also the editor of the newspaper and also holds his Bronze Medallion. Jarred was a Manitou camper for four years completing our CIT program in 2004. He returns for his third summer on staff and seventh summer at Manitou.
	Davida Goldenberg Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Davida is a student at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College working on a specialist degree in Art and Art History focusing on Photography and Drawing. Davida has previous camp experience working at Bayview Glen Day Camp, Camp Northland B'nai Brith and at Camp Poyntelle Lewis-Village in Pennsylvania. She has also volunteered as an instructor with the Kids For Kids Foundation. This will be Davida's first summer at Manitou.
	Chuck Gordon Counsellor	From Calgary, Alberta, Chuck is a student at the University of Victoria studying Economics. In high school, Chuck played varsity Football and Rugby and also captained his Hockey team. He also has experience coaching Tennis at the Varsity Tennis Club. Chuck was a Manitou camper for two years, completing our CIT program in 2004. He returns for his third summer on staff and fifth at Manitou.
	Kristen Greenly Counsellor	From Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Kristen is a student at Albright College in Reading studying Psychology. Throughout high school, Kristen worked with her drama club building sets, doing prop design and back stage direction. She also played Field Hockey and Basketball. This will be Kristen's first summer working at Manitou.
	Ella Gruber Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Ella is a student at the University of Toronto studying English and Music. During the year, Ella has served as the Social Chair, Public Relations Chair and Vice President of Event Planning for Pi Beta Phi Women's Fraternity. She also has experience working one season as a counsellor at Camp Wabikon in Temagami and holds her Bronze Cross. She returns for her second summer at Manitou.
	Jeremy Haber Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jeremy is a student at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. During the year, Jeremy plays club Volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee. He is also an avid Tennis player and has completed an instructor's course. Jeremy was a Manitou camper for 4 years completing our CIT program in 2004. He returns for his third summer on staff and seventh at Manitou.
	Jon Holoff Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jon is a student at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He plays tennis and baseball competitively throughout the year and also holds his Bronze Medallion. Jonathan attended Manitou for the first time in 2002 completing our CIT program. He returns for his fourth year on staff and fifth year at Manitou.
	Blake Hornsby Counsellor	From Kiama, Australia, Blake has been working for the past five years as a Duty Manager at Jamberoo Action Park while completing his degree in Spatial Science at Charles Stuart University. Blake holds his Surf Bronze cerification and has been an active Sunlife Saver for six years. He also competed at the state level in Field Hockey. This will be his first summer at Manitou.
	Tom Huntley Counsellor	From Lara, Australia, Tom is a student at Brougham Art School working towards a Diploma of Applied Photography. Previously, Tom completed an Advanced Diploma in Business Advertising through RMIT University. Tom has spent time this year working as a Photographer's assistant and as a Leader at Camp Cooinda in January. This will be his first summer at Manitou.
	Dalia Kagan Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Dalia is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario in London with a degree in English. Dalia has volunteer experience working at Baycrest Hospital for the Aged. She has been attending camps for several years, including two summers as a camper at Manitou. She completed our CIT program in 2002. Dalia returns for her fifth summer on staff and seventh at Manitou.
	Brad Kaplin Counsellor	From Montreal, Quebec, Brad is a student at McGill University studying Engineering. Brad has been playing competitive Basketball for many years, including winning the Juvenile AAA Quebec Provincial Championship in 2005 and a winning a bronze medal at the World Maccabiah Games in Israel that same year. He also worked as a score keeper for the Jewish Alumni Basketball League for two years. This will be Brad's second summer at Manitou.
	Melissa Kendrick Counsellor	From St. Catharines, Ontario, Melissa is a student at Brock University in the Recreation and Leisure Studies program. Melissa has been working with the YMCA of Niagara for five years. She also has experience working with the City of St. Catharines Summer Camps and at the Lieutenant Governor Aboriginal Literacy Summer Camp in Neskantaga. Melissa was a competitive Basketball player for many years, winning a gold medal at the Provincial Championships. She also holds her NLS and YMCA Swimming Instructors certifications. This will be her first summer at Manitou.
	Alan Kirby Counsellor	From Barrie, Ontario, Alan is a student at York University in Toronto studying English and Geography. Alan has worked as a Camp Counsellor, Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor with the YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka and holds his NLS, Swimming Instructors and ORCA Flatwater D certifications. He also has experience as an activity coordinator with Canada World Youth, assisting at an orphanage in Brazil. This will be Alan's first summer at Manitou.
	Remi Kirshenblatt Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Remi is a student at the University of Western Ontario on London. Remi has worked as a Ski Instructor at Alpine Ski Club. She was a camper at Camp Shalom before becoming a Manitou camper for three years and completing our CIT program in 2004. This will be her third summer on staff and sixth at Manitou.
	Sari Kraft Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Sari is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario in London with a degree in Kinesiology. Sari is a certified fitness consultant and group fitness instructor and has worked as an athletic trainer with her school's Women's Rugby Team. She has also trained and competed in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop Acrobatics and Lyrical Dance and is a member of the UWO Dance company. She has experience as an instructor at All That Dance and Camp Move 'n Groove. Sari was a Manitou camper for six years and completed our CIT program in 2001. She returns for her fourth summer on staff and tenth summer at Manitou.
	Maxime Lavigueur Counsellor	From Quebec City, Quebec, Maxime is a student at CEGEP de Ste-Foy studying Sciences. While in high school, Maxime was the captain of his Hockey team and also served a year as the school's president. He is an avid waterskier, wakeboarder and surfer and holds his Bronze Medallion and PCO certification. Maxime was a Manitou camper for four years, completing our CIT program in 2004. This will be his third summer on staff and seventh at Manitou.
	Stanley Lee Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Stanley is a student at McMaster University in Hamilton studying Science. While at school this year, Stanley served as his residence floor rep. He was also heavily involved in his high school's theatre program having taken vocal lessons and attending theatre camps when he was younger. Stanley also plays guitar and is a long time basketball player. This will be his first summer at Manitou.
	Lanny Lightman Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Lanny is a graduate of Thornlea S.S. Lanny has experience working as a teacher's assistant for a Photography class and as a studio photographer for Lawblaws. She has also been actively involved in her school's Theatre program having performed in a number of productions and worked for a year as a volunteer at Willowbrook Public School. Lanny was a Manitou camper for 3 years, completing our CIT program in 2004. She returns after a year away for her second summer on staff and fifth at Manitou.
	Daniel Linden Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Daniel is a student at Seneca College in the Business program. During the year Daniel plays Hockey and coaches Basketball. He has also been sailing for many years including trips to Lake Ontario, the Thousand Islands and on the Atlantic Ocean. While racing Optis with the Island Yacht club in Toronto, he won the Best Sailor and Sportsmanship Awards. He holds his Bronze Medallion and has experience as an assistant Bowling coach. Daniel was a Manitou camper for five years, completing our CIT program in 2004. This will be his third summer on staff and eighth season at Manitou.
	Angelique Lubomirof Counsellor	From Sydney, Australia, Angelique holds a diploma in Welfare as well as a Childcare certificate. She has worked in a childcare centre for two years and done placements in respite homes and women's shelters. She has also studied Jazz, Ballet, Tap, and Hip Hop, run instructional programs for children and has had several years of Tennis instruction. This will be Angelique's first summer at Manitou.
	Mike MacLeod Counsellor	From Burlington, Ontario, Mike is a student at St. Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia studying Sociology. Mike is also a graduate of the General Arts and Science program at Fanshawe college in London. Mike has played competitive Baseball and Football for many years, helping his Football team to the Halton Regional championship in 2002. Mike returns to Manitou for his second summer on staff.
	Kara Martin Counsellor	From Sydney, Australia, Kara has been working as a Registered Nurse at the Sydney Children's Hospital. She is a graduate of the University of New England with a degree in Nursing. Kara has 15 years dance experience in Tap, Jazz and Ballet as a performer and assistant teacher at Tutu, Tap & Turn and also has experience as a soccer coach and reading tutor. This will be Kara's first summer at Manitou.
	Hayley Mather Counsellor	From Melbourne, Australia, Hayley has been working this past year at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. She holds an Advanced Diploma of Tourism and a Diploma of Event Management studying at William Angliss Institute. Hayley has six year of Tennis training experience and has also worked as a Nanny. This will be her first summer on staff at Manitou.
	Allie Nixon Counsellor	From Ancaster, Ontario, Allie is a student at Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo studying Sociology and Geography. An avid golfer, Allie has worked in the golf industry for the past several summers. She is a member of Habitat for Humanity ad is highly involved in other volunteer organizations at her university. She also has experience as a volunteer at Ancaster meadow Elementary School. This will be her first summer at Manitou.
	Eric Ormsby Counsellor	From Woodslee, Ontario, Eric is a student at Brock University in St.Catharines studying History and Political Science. Eric has past experience working at Basketball camps at Brock and at Belle River High School and was a member of the Brock University Men's team. Eric also has extensive fishing experience and basic astronomy training. This will be his first summer at Manitou.
	Sarah Rabley Counsellor	From Niagara Falls, Ontario, Sarah is a student at Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo studying Sociology and Biology. Sarah has experience working with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Niagara Falls and as a JUMP Ambassador at Laurier. Last summer she travelled to The Gambia in West Africa to volunteer in a hospital and teach at local schools. She also has many years experience playing competitive Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball. This will be Sarah's first summer at Manitou.
	Scott Rabley Counsellor	From Niagara Falls, Ontario, Scott is a student at McMaster University in Hamilton studying Engineering. Scott has many years of experience playing competitive Tennis at White Oaks and at St. Catherines Raquet and Athletic Club. He also has experience volunteering as a leader with SCOEP and at Kids Kastle day care program. This will be his first summer working at Manitou.
	Erica Rivietz Counsellor	From Richmond Hill, Ontario, Erica is a student at York University studying Psychology. Erica currently volunteers with the TSX program tutoring kids. She also has experience as an assistant Hebrew Teacher with kindergarten kids at USDS and experience working with the Lodger Synagogue planning children's activities. She was a Manitou camper for seven years, completing our CIT program in 2004. This will be her third summer on staff and tenth summer at Manitou.
	Andrew Robertson Counsellor	From Burlington, Ontario, Andrew is a student at the University of Guelph studying Bio-Medical Science. Andrew previously spent several years living in Japan and worked for a year as a bus monitor with The American School. He was a competitive rep hockey player for seven years and also plays the guitar. This will be Andrew's first summer at Manitou.
	Tyler Ruetz Counsellor	From St. Catharines, Ontario, Tyler is a graduate of Niagara College's Landscape Design program. Tyler has been working over the past year with the YMCA as a Youth Action and Program Leader. He has two years experience as a competitive rock climber and worked for a year at Higher Ground Climbing. He also holds his NLS and Swimming Instructor certifications. This will by Tyler's first summer at Manitou.
	Luke Schibeci Counsellor	From Wollongong, Australia, Luke is a student at the Wollongong University studying Medicine. Luke has experience working with children at Jamberoo Action Park and is also a Junior Rugby and Cricket Coach. Luke is an avid outdoorsman and fisherman, holds his Bronze Medallion and also plays guitar. This will be his first summer at Manitou.
	Jamie Shaw Counsellor	From Wimbledon, England, Jamie is a student at the University of Durham studying History and French. During the year, Jamie plays on his schools Field Hockey team and is a certified level 1 coach. He has experience as a Junior Coach with the Wimbledon Hockey Club and as a teaching assistant at St. Matthew's Primary School. He is also played with the Wimbledon Club under 18 Tennis team and holds his Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. This will be his first summer at Manitou
	Carla Smallfield Counsellor	Originally from Mississauga, Ontario, Carla is a student at York University in Toronto studying Kinesiology and Health Science. Carla is a member of York's varsity Cheerleading team, is an NCCP level 1 coach in Cheerleading and Gymnastics and also teaches Aerobics and Yoga classes during the year. She has taught Dance and Gymnastics through Futures Gymnastics and has also worked as a dancer on TV and in music videos. This will be Carla's third summer at Manitou.
	Julie Steinberg Counsellor	Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Julie now lives in Boca Raton, Florida, and is a student of the University of Pennsylvania studying Political Science and International Relations. During the year, Julie works as a beat reporter for her college newspaper and has appeared in the New York Times and Fox News. She was also a competitive tennis player for many years and a nationally ranked debator. Julie was a Manitou camper for three years, completing our CIT program in 2003. She returns for her third summer on staff and sixth at Manitou.
	Robbie Stepak Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Robbie is a student at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia studying Commerce. Robbie has many year of camp experience at Camp White Pine including one summer on staff. Last summer he was on staff at Camp Timberlane. He also holds his Bronze Cross. This will be his first summer at Manitou.
	Jason Sterling Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Jason is a student at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec studying Earth and Planetary Science. Jason has been a competitive Hockey player for many years, playing in tournaments in the U.S. and in Europe. He also has experience as a coach and referee. He spent one summer on staff at Camp Wahanowin. This will be Jason's first summer at Manitou.
	Jake Summers Counsellor	From Glen Haven, Nova Scotia, Jake is a student at Dalhousie University in Halifax studying Computer Science. Jake spent two years living on several different large boats sailing to nine different countries and territories. He also has experience working as a Hockey Linesman and is completing his Bronze Cross. This will be Jake's first summer working at Manitou.
	Corey Tarnow Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Corey is a student at the University of Toronto studying Sciences. Corey has been a competitive Hockey player for many years. He is also an avid Waterskier and Snowboarder. He holds his Bronze Cross and PCO card. A Manitou camper for two years, Corey completed our CIT program in 2000. He returns for his fifth summer on staff and seventh at Manitou.
	Brian Thomson Counsellor	From Guildford, England, Brian has spent the past year living and working in Whistler, British Columbia. Previously, he spent three years living in Harrisonburg, Virginia working with Camp Horizons and The Outdoor Learning Centre as a Counsellor and Outdoor Education Facilitator. Brian is a graduate of the Broadwater School and holds his Red Cross Life Guard and Wilderness First Responder certifications. He returns for his second summer at Manitou.
	Michael Thorpe Counsellor	From London, Ontario, Michael is a student at the University of Western Ontario studying Sociology. He previously completed a certificate in Human Services at Fanshawe College. An avid musician, Michael plays guitar, bass and drums playing in various venues around the London area. He also has experience as an Event Coordinator through the Big Brothers of London. This will be his first summer at Manitou.
	Emily Weizel Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Emily is a student at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec studying Science. Emily volunteers during the year in the physiotherapy department at the Royal Victoria Hospital. She also has experience as a member of her high school's student council and volunteering as a mentor to underprivileged students at a local elementary school. She holds her Bronze Medallion and PCO card. Emily was a Manitou camper for three years completing our CIT program in 2003. She was named World Games Captain in 2006. This will be her fourth summer on staff and seventh at Manitou.
	Kaila Wiley Counsellor	From Mississauga, Ontario, Kaila is a student at Brock University studying Kinesiology. During the year, Kaila plays on Brock's Varsity Women's Volleyball Team. Kaila attended the Ontario Educational Leadership Camp and volunteered as a counsellor at Brock University Volleyball Camp and with SNAP, a program for children with special needs. She also has experience as a Volleyball Referee, is completing a Kayaking skills course through the OCA and holds her Bronze Medallion. This will be Kaila's first summer at Manitou.
	Brittany Woodall Counsellor	From Sydney, Australia, Brittany is a graduate of Camden High School and completed her Certificate 3 in Business Administration at TAFE. She has recently been working with the Department of Housing and the Department of Primary Industries. Brittany is also an avid swimmer and snowboarder. This will be her first summer at Manitou.
	Morgan Abenheim Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Morgan is a graduate of Northern Secondary School. An arts student for many years, Morgan completed a co-op placement at Claude Watson School for the Arts in 2006. A Manitou camper for four years, Morgan returns after two summers away for her first season on staff.
	Hayley Arnold Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Hayley is a student at Forest Hill C.I. where she plays during the year on both the varsity Volleyball and Tennis teams. Hayley also has experience as a Volleyball coach at Ledbury Park EMS and is currently completing her NLS and Swimming Instructors certifications. Hayley was a Manitou camper for 3 years, completing our CIT program in 2006. She joins us for her first summer on staff.
	Jonathan Aronstam Jr. Counsellor	Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Jonathan now lives in Boca Raton, Florida where his is a graduate of Donna Klein High School. A tennis player throughout his life, Jonathan has played on his schools Varsity team for four years. He was a Manitou camper for three seasons, completing our CIT program in 2005. This will be his fifth summer at camp and second on staff.
	Abi Berkley Jr. Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Abi is a student at Westmount Collegiate. Abi has experience as an Assistant Dance Instructor through Vibe studio. She is also completing her NLS and Swimming Instructors certification. Abi was a Manitou camper for two years, completing our CIT program in 2006. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Luis Bonet Jr. Counsellor	Originally from Miami, Florida, Luis now lives in Madrid, Spain where he is a student at King's College. Luis has been playing tennis for over 10 years, and also plays intramural soccer. A Manitou camper for three years, he completed our CIT program in 2006. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Zoe Bracken Jr. Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Zoë is a student at Langstaff Secondary School in their French Immersion program. Zoe has previous experience as a CIT at Earl Bales Community Day Camp and is currently completing her NLS and Swimming Instructors certifications. She was a Manitou camper for two seasons, completing our CIT program in 2006. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Ben Cowley Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Ben is a student at the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the year, Ben competes on both his school's Hockey and Snowboard teams. Ben also has experience as an assistant ski instructor with Alpine Ski Club and holds his Bronze Cross. Ben was a Manitou camper for eight years, completing our CIT program in 2006. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Veronica Di Segni Jr. Counsellor	From Rome, Italy, Veronica is a student at E.Q. Viscouti High School. During the year, Veronica is involved with Skiing, Snowboarding, Tennis and Scuba Diving and is a PADI certified diver. She also has training with numerous arts media. Veronica attended Manitou for the first time as a CIT in 2006. She returns for her second summer and first on staff.
	Abby Eckler Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Abby is a graduate of Crestwood Preparatory College. Abby is a member of her school's Basketball, Volleyball and Tennis teams and is also the president of the school's Athletic Council. A Manitou camper of three years, Abby completed our CIT program in 2005. This will be her second summer on staff and fifth at Manitou.
	Sally Engelhart Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Sally is a student at the York School. During the year, Sally serves as the Assistant Head of House and as a public relations ambassador. She is also the captain of the school's volleyball and basketball teams and holds her Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper of five years, Sally completed our CIT program in 2006. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Jason Freder Jr. Counsellor	From Montreal, Quebec, Jason is a student at Dawson College studying Health Science. Jason has previously been heavily involved in volunteer activities, including working with the 100K cycle and with Kids on the Block and the Shriner's Hospital. Jason is also an avid waterskier and holds his Bronze Cross. Jason has been a Manitou camper for five years, completing our CIT program in 2005. This will be his second summer on staff and seventh summer at Manitou.
	Rebecca French Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Rebecca is a graduate of Ursula Franklin Academy with an extensive background in Drama and Musical Theatre. During the year, Rebecca plays on her schools Ultimate Frisbee and Girls Hockey teams. She holds her NLS and Swimming Instructors certifications and has prior camp experience at Tapawingo and Toronto Music Camp. This will be Rebecca's first summer at Manitou.
	Garret Gottlieb Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Garret is a student at the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. Garret has pervious volunteering experience at Camp Arrowhead and with the "Out of the Cold" program. He has also been playing guitar for the past five years and holds his Bronze Cross and AWSI certifications. A Manitou camper for three years, Garret completed our CIT program in 2006. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Brittany Greene Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Brittany is a student in the Claude Watson program at Earl Haig majoring in Dance. Brittany holds level 1 coaching certifications in Gymnastics and Snowboarding, teaching Gymnastics at Discovery and Snowboarding with Snow Hawks. She has also umpired Baseball with North Toronto Baseball and is completing her Bronze Medallion. Last summer, Brittany completed the CIT program with Camp Biluim. This will be her first summer at Manitou.
	Dylan Haber Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Dylan is a graduate of York Mills C.I. Dylan has experience as a soccer coach and referee as well as captaining the varsity team at his school. He holds his level 4 referee badge as well as his Bronze Cross. Dylan also sits on his school's Athletic Council. A Manitou camper for three years, Dylan completed our CIT program in 2005. This will be his second summer on staff and fifth at Manitou.
	Spencer Hoffman Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Spencer is a student at the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. Spencer has been playing competitive Hockey for over 12 years and also plays on his school Rugby team. He also has coaching experience with a select minor hockey team and holds his Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for seven years, Spencer completed our CIT program in 2006. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Eric Jospe Jr. Counsellor	From Montreal, Quebec, Eric is a student at Dawson College studying Social Science. An avid Skier and Waterskier, last summer Eric taught waterskiing at Camp Watitoh in Massachusetts. Eric also has experience as a daycare volunteer at the Children's Daycare of Verdun, is a keen rock climber and holds his American Red Cross Lifeguard certification. This will be his first summer at Manitou.
	Melanie Levitin Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Melanie is a student at the Linden School. During the year, Melanie plays on her school's Volleyball and Soccer teams and has volunteer experience at Baycrest Hospital. She also holds her Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper for five years, Melanie completed our CIT program in 2006. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Jessica Levy Jr. Counsellor	From Richmond Hill, Ontario, Jessica is a graduate of Thornlea Secondary School. Jessica has an extensive arts background and has been dancing for over 13 years. She is currently an assistant teacher at Dance Athletics Inc. and also worked for two seasons as a Counsellor and Dance Instructor at Bayview Glen Day Camp in Toronto. A Manitou camper for four years, Jessica returns for her second summer on staff and sixth at Manitou.
	Issy Miller Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Issy is a graduate of the Bishop Stachan School. During the year, Issy plays competitive volleyball and soccer as well as sitting on her school's student council. She also has experience working as a skiing instructor at Alpine Ski club for three years. Issy was a Manitou camper for seven years completing our CIT program in 2005. This will be her second summer on staff and ninth at Manitou.
	Sammy Minden Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Sammy is a graduate of Northern Secondary School. During the year, Sammy has worked as a teaching assistant with a kindergarten class and also has past experience volunteering with the Baycrest centre. She also holds her Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for five years, Sammy completed our CIT program in 2005. This will be her second summer on staff and seventh at Manitou.
	Charlie (Chuckles) Moscoe Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Charlie is a student at Tanenbaum CHAT. Charlie has experience as a free lance small scale Video Producer and has also volunteered as a Computers Instructor at USDS. He is also an avid Skier and Snowboarder and holds his Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for seven years, Charlie completed our CIT program in 2006. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Stephanie Ray Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Stephanie is a student at the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. Stephanie has experience volunteering as a teaching assistant at United Synagogue Day School. She is an avid Tennis player and holds her NLS certification. A Manitou camper for eight years, Stephanie completed our CIT program in 2006. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Kayla Robins Jr. Counsellor	From Aurora, Ontario, Brittny is a student at Aurora High School. During the year, Kayla plays on her school's Tennis Basketball and Badminton teams. She holds her OTA level 1 coaching certification and her Bronze Medallion. She also has experience working with Children at Camp Arrowhead. A Manitou camper for seven years, Kayla completed our CIT program in 2006. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Daniel Rotsztain Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Daniel is a graduate of Forest Hill Collegiate . Daniel has experience as a student teacher at Holy Blossom and teaches Guitar throughout the year. He also volunteered with Out of the Cold for three years. A Manitou camper for nine years, Daniel completed our CIT program in 2005. This will be his second summer on staff and eleventh summer at Manitou.
	Joanne Schiffer Jr. Counsellor	From Thornhill, Ontario, Joanne is a student at Westmount Collegiate Institute. During the year, Joanne is an assistant Dance teacher with Vibe Dance and Fitness Studio. She also runs her own children's dance party company called Get This Party Started. A Manitou camper for two years, Joanne completed our CIT program in 2006. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Aaron Sinukoff Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Aaron is a student at William Lyn MacKenzie C.I. During the year, Aaron plays on his school's Baseball team and is also a level 2 certified Umpire having worked with Baseball Ontario for the past three years. He also takes Improv classes with LKTYP. A Manitou camper for two years, Aaron completed our CIT program in 2006. This will be his first summer on staff.
	Alex Steinberg Jr. Counsellor	From Montreal, Quebec, Alex is a graduate of St. George's High School. Alex is a competitive Figure Skater and has also been coaching Skating at TMRESC this year. She also works with children at the Jewish General Hospital and holds her Bronze Medallion. A Manitou camper for eight years, Alex completed our CIT program in 2006. This will be her first summer on staff.
	Eric Stumpf Jr. Counsellor	From Charlottesville, Virginia, Eric is a student at Crested Butte Academy in Colorado. Through his school, Eric ompeted in snowboarding competitions throughout the U.S. Eric is an avid waterskier and holds his STARguard lifeguarding certification. He also plays the Banjo. A Manitou camper for three seasons, Eric completed our CIT program in 2005. This will be his second summer on staff and fifth summer at Manitou.
	Michelle van Rassel Jr. Counsellor	From Mississauga, Ontario, Michelle is a graduate of Cawthra Park Secondary School for the Performing Arts having majored in Vocal Music. Michelle has several years experience volunteering with Kids Help Phone. She also plays guitar and holds her Bronze Cross. A Manitou camper for two years, Michelle completed our CIT program in 2005. This will be her second summer on staff and fourth at Manitou.
	Alex Weiss Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Alex is a graduate of North Toronto C.I. During the year, Alex plays on her school's varsity Softball and Tennis teams and is also a member of the school band. She has also volunteered as part of the North Toronto "buddy" program as well as with the Reuben Cipin retirement residence. She holds her NLS and Swimming Instructors certifications. A Manitou camper for seven years, Alex completed our CIT program in 2005. She returns for her second summer on staff and ninth at Manitou.
	Michael Weizel Jr. Counsellor	From Toronto, Ontario, Mike is a student at the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. Michael has 10 year experience in competitive Soccer and Volleyball leagues and plays on his school's Hockey team. He has also spent time volunteering with NCSY.
